Stamford Bridge stadium has a rich history dating back to its opening in 1877. It has been Chelsea FC's home since the club's formation in 1905. The name "Stamford Bridge" is thought to have originated from the nearby Old Stamford Bridge, which spanned the River Westbourne.

The stadium is easily accessible by public transportation, with Fulham Broadway Underground station located nearby. Additionally, there are bus services that serve the area.
